Reflection; 2013-2014
Goal: "Learning Environment (classroom); provide corners/learning centers for grade 1 and 2 students".
Starting this 2013-2014 school year, grade 1 and 2 classrooms have corners inside. They also have a small carpet for the students to work and play on the floor. The corners are Mathematics and Language that consist of learning materials supporting the Unit of Inquiry or the stand alone ones. We can see that this small change makes a difference.
Goal: "Guide and monitor teacher's record book on students' assessment (rubrics, anecdotal records, etc)".
Starting this 2013-2014 school year, we ask teachers to have the record book. The record book consist of the UOI planner, students' list, rubrics, anecdotal records and other assessment tools. We also propose this as one of the requirements on what to show to the Principal during the appraisal.
Goal: "Workshop on Learner Profiles and Attitudes for the Service Staff (non-teaching staff)".
We had this session for the Staff, led by the other PYP Coordinator (Fifi Anggraini) and myself.
